Source of Business

Purpose

Source of business allows you to set up source of business and referral codes to track where your business is coming from. It also provides a tool for tracking whether or not an individual referral is required and if that referral is commissionable. By keeping track of the source of your business, you have a better handle on where your marketing efforts are profitable and where to focus in the future.

Fields

Source Code – The eight-character source code you wish to assign to this source of business, such as: Walkup, Web, Ins (Insurance), Hotel, BodyShop, Corp (Corporate).

Description – A twenty-character description for the source code.

Referral Required – If this option is checked, a referral is required for this source code.

Commissionable – If this option is checked, the referral will be paid a commission. This box can only be selected if the "Referral Required" box has been selected.
