Purpose

Each menu, program, and field can be assigned an Employee Group. Go to Settings - Security - Program Security. Use the Filter field to narrow the choices of menus and programs. Different Employee Groups can be chosen for adding or modifying a record, and fields can also be marked as required so the user must fill them in.


Fields

Filter - Enter as unique a value as possible to narrow down the available programs and menus.

Screen Name - The maintenance screen or menu option.

Program - The path and program name of the screen.

Group Access - If a menu is highlighted, the groups which have access to it will be highlighted to the right.

Description - If a program is highlighted, the list of each field, button, and check box will appear here.

Save Value - If “Yes” then values entered into the system will be saved. If “No” then information will have to be entered every time.

Required - Indicates if this is a required (mandatory) field.

‘Add’/‘Change’ Access Groups - The groups which can add or change the field highlighted in the Description list. Hold down the “Ctrl” key to select multiple groups.
