Purpose
Fleet data can be extracted from RentWorks for the purpose of being imported to other software applications. Use this screen to define the parameters. You must then use System Tasks to run the program which creates the file.
Options
- Unit # – Enter the range of unit numbers. To select all, leave the default values of First and Last.
- Status - Highlight the desired Statuses.
- Include Unavailable Status Types – If this box is checked, statuses of type "Unavailable" are included in the Status list.
- Sort By – Choose the field you wish to use to sort the vehicle records.
- Select By – The report can select vehicles by the Owned Location or Current Location.
- Field Delimiter - Use the pull-down menu to select how each field within a record/line is to be separated.
- Vehicles to Include - Check all of the tables from which vehicles should be read.
- Format Choices - Check all of the format option:
- Output file in XML format
- Output Header Record
- Show Inventory IDs
- Data File Output Directory - Specify the directory to where the export file should be written.
- File Name - Select if the system can automatically create the File Name. The default name is "fleetexportmmddyy-hhmmss.txt". Alternatively, you can specify a file name in the next field.
Data Selection
Vehicles are selected by the following rules:
- The vehicle’s owned or current location is selected in the reporting lists.
- The vehicle’s product is selected in the Product list.
- The vehicle's unit number is within the range defined.
- The vehicle’s status is selected in the Status list.
