Security Feature Codes

Purpose

This menu item is used to add feature codes, which will enable additional product modules in RentWorks. Feature codes are obtained from a Bluebird Product Support Analyst.

The activation key that is displayed will be needed in order to issue a feature code. If you have multiple terminals that are running RentWorks, you will need to be logged in at the server in order to view the activation key.

The Feature Codes program has an additional toolbar button:

Import – If you received a feature code file, use this menu item to import the file into RentWorks.

Fields

Product – The RentWorks module that this feature code will activate.

Active - Indicates if the Feature Code is active or not.

User Level – The maximum number of users that can access the module at one time. All add-on modules will have the number of one.

Feature Code – A 16-letter code that is unique to each system.

Description - A description of the feature.

Expiration Date – The date when the feature code is no longer valid. If a feature code has no expiration date, a value of 12/31/9999 is entered.
