Equifax Settings

Purpose
The Equifax module is designed to work with a credit inquiry service from Equifax tailored specifically for the Auto Rental industry to help gauge the relative risk a given renter presents, when that renter secures the rental transaction with a debit card.
Please note that this is an add-on module, and you must enter into a contractual agreement directly with Equifax before this module can be implemented.
Fields
Minimum Pass Score: A number chosen by the rental business operator as the minimum threshold to allow rentals to debit card customers.
Keep Results For: The number of days a cached Credit Inquiry result will remain valid.
Exceptions: Allow debit card use when…
- Communication is interrupted (Not Implemented)
- No matching Equifax record (Not Implemented)
Use Debit Card Detect business rules
- a. When not checked, Manual mode is enabled.
- b. Activate this option only when Equifax Credit Inquiry is used in conjunction with the Element or Central Coast automatic Debit Card detecttion feature.
Cust ID: this is the unique customer Member Number, as provided by Equifax.
Security: this is also provided by Equifax. It is always THREE characters. No spaces!
Login, Site ID, Service Name, Host, Port, Path: these elements will be provided by a Bluebird Product Support Analyst.
Equifax Credit Inquiry Progress Messages
Message to Renter Before Credit Inquiry - Enter the script for the rental agent to recite to the rental customer before the credit inquiry takes place.
Message to Renter with Insufficient Score - Enter the script for the rental agent to recite to the rental customer if his or her score is below that which you have set in order to rent a vehicle.
Message to Renter with No Record Found - Enter the script for the rental agent to recite to the rental customer if his or her Equifax record is not found.
