Purpose
Foreign vehicles are vehicles you do not own. This section describes a single-screen method for quickly adding foreign vehicles to your fleet. Once they are there, you can use the Vehicle Fleet screens to make any changes.
Fields
Vehicle Information
Products – Use the drop-down list to select a product.
Unit # – The vehicle’s unit number. It cannot be the same as any existing in-fleet vehicle.
VIN – The Vehicle Identification Number.
Year/Make/Model/Color – The vehicle’s basic information.
Class – Choose a class for this vehicle.
Gas Tank Size – The fuel capacity of the gas tank. This value is used when calculating fuel charges.
Fuel Code – The specific fuel type for this vehicle.
License # – The vehicle’s license number (tag).
License St. – The state in which this vehicle is registered.
Owning Location – The location that owns this vehicle. Only foreign locations are listed.
In-Service Date – The date that the vehicle was added to the fleet.
In-Service Miles – The odometer reading when the vehicle was added to the fleet.
Current Status
Status – The current status of the vehicle.
Location – The location where this vehicle is checking-in.
Odometer – The odometer reading of the vehicle.
Creation Date/Time – These fields show the current date and time from the system clock.
