Location

SETTINGS > Interfaces


Purpose

If you are using Erez on your web site, this menu item is used to set the parameters that control the module. In order to use Erez, you must enter a valid feature code.

Please note that this is an add-on module and per text fees apply. There are also additional set-up requirements. Please see the Erez Setup Guide.

Fields – General Tab

ID – If you are using multiple Erez sites, each one needs a unique Web ID. Otherwise, leave this field blank.

Locations – Choose the locations to which this control record applies.

Classes - Choose the vehicle classes to which this control record applies. There is no need to select any all classes can be used.

Time Increments – Specifies the time increments between each item in the Time drop-down lists. You can select full hours, half hours, or quarter hours.

Location Ordering - Select in what order Locations should be listed. Choices are: Alphabetical, State.

Default Location – When the Erez web page initially loads, this is the location that will be automatically filled in for the pickup and return locations. If this field is blank, "—Please Select— " will be shown on the web page.

Default Time – When the Erez web page initially loads, this is the time that will be automatically filled in for the pickup and return times.

Source Code – The source code to be added to all reservations created through Erez.

Cash Drawer ID – Payment records created by Erez will be listed under this cash drawer.


Vehicle Classes

List Vehicles By – You can list either class categories or class codes in the "Vehicle Class" drop-down list on the Erez web page.

Allow "All" in Class List – If this box is checked, the user can choose to view all vehicle categories/classes instead of just a specific category/class.

Display Alternate Classes - If this box is checked, all alternative classes, as defined in Class Setup, will be displayed, along with the best available rate. If any of the alternate classes are unavailable, they will not be shown.


Renter Notes

These settings refer to the Notes box in Erez. When the user enters text in the field, a renter note is attached to the reservation.

Auto-Display Notes: The note will automatically pop-up when the reservation is viewed.

Printable Notes: The note will be printed on reports and receipts.


Credit Card

Credit Card Required – A credit card can a) never be required, b) required for all Erez reservations but not corporate reservations (a valid A/R code is entered in the Corp ID field), or c) always required.

Process Credit Card – If a credit card number is entered, you can process a payment or authorization on it, or do nothing with it at the time the reservation is entered.

Override with rate’s prepayment setting – If this box is checked off and the reservation’s rate requires prepayment, the "Process Credit Card" setting above will be overridden and a payment will be processed.

Deposit Amount – The deposit amount that should be processed on the credit card. You can select the rate’s minimum deposit amount, the estimated charges calculated by Erez, or a fixed amount that you specify.


Messages

Disclaimer – The message that is displayed directly under the fields on the Erez Availability page.

None Available – The message that is displayed when no vehicles are available for a certain class.

Blackout – The message that is displayed when a certain class has been blacked-out by a special event.

Pickup Loc Closed – The message that is displayed when the pickup location is closed at the pickup date/time specified by the user.

Return Loc Closed – The message that is displayed when the return location is closed at the return date/time specified by the user.

Fields – Mail Tab

New Res Notification – If you wish to be alerted every time a new reservation is entered through Erez, you can turn on any or all of the following notification methods: an EDI log entry which is viewable with Display Log Messages, a system alert that appears when changing screens, or a carbon-copy confirmation e-mail that is sent to the address entered in the field below the checkbox.

Log Activity – If this box is checked, a log file is created which keeps track of things like the number of "hits" (how many times the first e-rez2 web page has been viewed), the number of rates quotes requested, and the number of reservations entered. This log file is analyzed by the Erez Activity Report.

Send Mail Using – Designates whether the confirmation e-mail should be sent using postie.exe or the server’s built-in SMTP service. If the RentWorks server is running Windows 2003 Server or greater, set this to "SMTP". Otherwise, use "Postie".

SMTP Host – The computer name or IP address of the mail server that will be sending the confirmation e-mails.

From Line – When the e-mail is sent, the "From" line will have this address. It is recommended that this address be an e-mail account that the user can reply to for assistance.

Subject Line – The text that will be in the subject line of the e-mail. The confirmation number is appended to the end of this message.

Mail Header – Text that will appear before the reservation information in the e-mail.

Mail Footer – Text that will appear after the reservation information in the e-mail.

Fields – Fields Tab

You can create up to ten custom fields that will be displayed in Erez. These fields are ‘mapped’ to a field in the RentWorks database. The value that the user enters on the –erez2 web page will be placed in the specified field.


User-Defined Fields

Label – The text label that will be displayed next to the field in Erez.

Field – The RentWorks database field that will be assigned the value that the user enters in the Erez web page.

Required – If this box is checked, the user must enter a value into this field before they are allowed to continue in Erez.
