Currency Settings

Purpose

RentWorks has the ability to accommodate multiple currencies. If you accept currencies other than your own "base" currency, you can define exchange rates. The system will then calculate all charges in the alternate currency.

Fields

Base Currency – Enter a code for the currency to be used as the base of 1.000, against which all the other currencies will be calculated.

Symbol – The currency symbol. You can enter a keyboard character or the ASCII value for the symbol.

Browser Fields

Currency – Enter the name of the currency in this column.

Country – Enter the name of the country used for the currency in the column directly to the right of the currency you are describing.

Active – Indicate Yes or No in the Active column to have RentWorks display this exchange rate.

Symbol – The currency symbol. You can enter a keyboard character or the ASCII value for the symbol.

Effective Date – Indicate an effective date for the exchange rate.

Exchange Rates – Enter the associated exchange rate. Note: Multiple entries can be made for each currency by using the effective date.
