Posting

Posting a report creates a data file that can be imported into an accounting package. Generally, once a record has been posted it cannot be changed.

When a report posts data, it is not run for a date range; it runs with a cutoff date. Any unposted records with a date prior to and including the cutoff date will be selected. This prevents data from being accidentally overlooked.

The directory that the posting file is placed in can be set in Terminal Settings with the "Export File Path" field. The file must then be manually imported into the accounting software.
