Purpose
Use this menu item to enter and track any charges not related to a rental agreement. Miscellaneous sales can be based on a per-item charge (such as maps), or a time charge (such as cellular phones). Once a miscellaneous sale ticket is opened, you can add charges. Multiple charges may be added to a ticket, and per-item and time charges may be mixed on the same ticket.
Fields
Ticket Info
Ticket# – A system-generated number for this miscellaneous sale ticket. The number range is set up in Transaction Numbers.
Status - Indicates if this Miscellaneous Ticket is Open, Closed, or Posted.
Location – The location where the items are being purchased.
Last/First Name – The name of the person who is purchasing the miscellaneous items.
Date/Time Out – The beginning date and time for this miscellaneous sale ticket. Click on the drop-down list to display a calendar for choosing the date.
Date/Time In – The ending date and time for this miscellaneous sale ticket. Click on the drop-down list to display a calendar for choosing the date.
Ticket Items
The browser lists all charges that are on this ticket. Click on an item in this browser to view its details. You can add, remove, and modify charges with the standard toolbar buttons above the browser.
Item - Each item will be a Charge or Payment.
Type – The type of charge:
- Misc Chg – Miscellaneous charge.
- CDW – Collision damage waiver.
- PAC – Personal accident coverage.
- PEC – Personal effects coverage.
- SLI – Supplemental liability insurance.
- AD – Additional driver.
- UD – Underage driver.
- Upgrade – Upgrade charge.
- Drop Charge – Drop charge.
- Fuel – Fuel charge.
- Prepaid Fuel – Prepaid fuel charge.
- FF Recovery Fee – Frequent Flyer recovery fee.
Code – A code for this charge.
Desc – A description of the charge. This field is non-editable.
Amount - The amount being charged or paid with the item.
Details
# Charged – The number of units to charge. The fields in this column change based on the calculation method of the charge.
Rate – The rate that is applied to each charged unit.
Charge – A subtotal for the rate.
Total – The total charges for this ticket. It is the sum of the total charges for each item in the browser.
Reporting Info
Report Date – The report date is used to reconcile the day’s activity. When the ticket is closed, the current date is put into this field.
Location – The report location is used to reconcile the day’s activity. The location where the ticket was closed is put into this field.
DBR Posted – If the ticket has been posted, the date on which it was posted appears here. A ticket cannot be modified once it is posted.
Buttons
New – Open a ticket or add an item to a ticket. The item can be a Charge or Payment.
Copy - Copy or duplicate an item on a ticket.
Undo - Cancel any changes you just made.
Save - Save the item on the ticket.
DBR - The DBR (Daily Business Report) Balance button opens a “Reporting Info” dialog that may be used to change the Daily Business Report date and time. You may also indicate if you wish these parameters to apply to miscellaneous charges, taxes, etc. and payments. Normally, this screen is not used often, but it may be necessary to balance the report.
