Purpose

This menu item is used to modify a vehicle’s current location, status, and/or odometer without having to go into the Vehicle Fleet screen. Changes are written to the transaction history of the vehicle.

Fields

Product/Unit # – Use these fields to select a vehicle. You can also use the binocular lookup button to find a vehicle.

Location – The current location of the vehicle.

Status – The current status of the vehicle.

Odometer – The vehicle’s last-recorded odometer reading.

Current Fuel – The current fuel level of the vehicle.

Stall - If stall numbers have created with Ready Lines, you can use the binoculars to find a stall number.

Buttons

Undo - Reverts back to the original values.

Save - Modifies the vehicle to reflect your changes. If no changes were made, the last movement date is not changed.

Notes – View and edit notes for this vehicle.

Damage – View the Damage/Images for this vehicle.

Notes:

• When you change a vehicle, the Last Movement Date will be changed to the current date and time. If the vehicle is currently on a contract, it may not be automatically updated when the contract is closed.
• There are several Employee Privileges which control the ability to change certain statuses.
• If you are changing the current location and odometer of the vehicle because it has been moved to another rental location, be aware that there is a Non-Revenue Movement program that provides a better audit trail that is built specifically to track this type of movement.
