'''Location''' MARKETING '''Purpose''' When renting foreign vehicles (vehicles owned by another car rental agency), the revenue can be split among the renting, owning, and check-in locations. Setting up revenue split matrices allows you to pre-define how the revenue is split for the various combinations of one-way rentals. By setting up revenue split matrices in advance of a rental involving a foreign vehicle, the system can automatically apply the splits when the Daily Business Report is generated. If you do not rent foreign vehicles, it is not necessary to enter data into this table. '''Fields''' Matrix Name – A unique name for this revenue split matrix. Split Type – The type of revenue split. The choices are: :* Away From – The vehicle is being rented away from the owning location. Example: a vehicle owned by Boston is in New York and will be returned to Philadelphia. :* Back To – The vehicle is being rented back to the owning location. Example: a vehicle owned by Boston is in New York and will be returned to Boston. :* Local – The vehicle is being used as a local (rental and check-in location are the same). Example: a vehicle owned by Boston is in New York and will be returned to New York. :* One-Way – The rental involves a vehicle from the renting location’s own fleet to a foreign location. Example: a foreign location’s vehicle breaks down, and you provide them with a replacement. :* Towards – The vehicle is being rented toward the owning location. Example: a vehicle owned by Boston is in Philadelphia, and will be returned to New York. Locations – The renting, owning, and check-in locations for this revenue split matrix. Use the drop-down list to use a record from the Location table. If left blank, any foreign location will be used in calculating the split. Charges Browser – The charge types/codes that can be split among the renting, owning, and check-in locations. The Total % column always must be 100.0 or 0. [[Category:Bluebird]]
